2 Postdoc Research Fellows, Quaternary micropaleontology - Leeds, UK

The ERC-funded RISeR project, led by Dr Natasha Barlow at the University of Leeds, UK, is seeking two Postdoctoral Research Fellows.

Both positions are for 2.5 years.

One position is in Quaternary benthic foraminifera, and one in Quaternary Palynology.

Both positions will play a pivotal role in developing paleoenvironmental reconstructions of the southern North Sea during the Last Interglacial, from cores collected offshore in summer 2020.

The Research Fellows will also work alongside project partners to develop age-depth models from the collected cores and establish a chronological framework for the reconstructed inundation of the Last Interglacial North Sea.

With the project team, the Fellows will develop models of the rate and magnitude of Last Interglacial sea-level change, and the associated environmental response.

Applications for both positions close 6 May 2021.
