The PAGES Focus 4 - PHAROS (Past Human-Climate - Ecosystem Interactions) workshop "Sediment and carbon fluxes under human impact and climate change" (July 28-30 2011, Bern, Switzerland) is organized by the LUCIFS (Land Use and Climate Impacts on Fluvial Systems) Working Group. The workshop provides a platform to discuss research results and ideas on sediment and associated carbon fluxes in all terrestrial environments.

As every year, there will be sessions with relevance to PAGES science and Working Groups.
Sessions with PAGES co-sponsoring or emerging from PAGES activities include those addressing the climate of the last deglaciation, the Holocene, past two millennia, as well as sea level change.
Abstract submission closes on 4 Aug 2011.
